DESC: Organic Matcha is a powdered green tea that is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies, although making it yourself at home is just as good and fun.
Several weeks before harvesting, the leaves are shaded to decrease the level of sunlight which will increase the tea’s colour, flavour and give it a higher concentration of Catechins, vitamin C and antioxidants. The leaves are then laid flat to dry and stone ground to a fine powder. This tea is best made in a Matcha bowl and whisked with a bamboo whisk to produce a delicious froth over the tea, comparable to a Cappuccino.
